5 Years of Wedded Bliss!

Friday, November 16th was our 5th year wedding anniversary. To celebrate we headed north to Seattle. I have lived in Portland for nine years and I have never been to Seattle.
On the way up to Seattle, we took a detour to Snoqualmie Falls. Then we were off to Seattle for a weekend of eating, drinking and site seeing. We had a wonderful anniversary weekend!

Snoqualmie Falls

Of course, we had to hike down to an area that was "suggested" not to be in due to high water. We had no problems and the view was great.

In case you cannot tell, this is a timer shot. This was on the pier in Seattle.
I fell in love with Seattle. I loved the skyline view at night with all the lights.
Tim on top of the Space Needle. It was pouring rain when we were at the top. About an hour after we left the Space Needle the rain stopped and it was sunny.
Resa on Top of the Space Needle. I was very nervous to be this close to the edge, Tim made me do it.
Pike Street Public Market.

The view from Pier 62/63. Tim loved this area, the views of the city and the water are great from this location.
Resa with The Fisherman. The Fisherman is a restaurant we went to on Friday and Saturday. They have a great view of the harbor and the city. On Friday we watched the ferry boats take the commuters home for the night.

After a few drinks at the Fisherman, Tim got me to put this hat on in one of the tourist shops.

Tim on top of the Smith Tower. When the Smith Tower was completed in 1913, it was the tallest building in the world, outside of New York. The observation deck is on the 35th floor. The next seven floors are a private apartment.

This is a view of Qwest Field (Seahawk's stadium) from the Smith tower.

This was a cool water fall park in the middle of the city, near Smith tower. The park was built by UPS. UPS was founded in Seattle.

View of China Town from Kobe Park. Kobe park is a community garden and park.

This lantern was given to the city of Seattle by the Mayor of Kobe in 1976 to celebrate our bicentennial anniversary.
